Self Limiting Beliefs Can Lead to Success or Failure

Most people have limiting beliefs. These beliefs can keep you from pursuing your goals, excelling at work, living the life you truly deserve, and so much more. These beliefs can prevent you from succeeding in anything you want to do. If you want to succeed, learn how to break these self-limiting beliefs and start enjoying all that life has to offer.

The most common self-limiting beliefs are: General Limitations on You: you are not good enough, you are not pretty or healthy enough. you are too young or not old enough. you are not smart enough or know enough about what to do. or some variation of these thoughts.

Break these negative beliefs and replace them with new beliefs. The first step is to write down your new belief. Make sure it is based on logic and is supported by evidence. You now have a list of self-limiting beliefs. Now, add one new belief and see where it leads you.

I had a girlfriend who believed that she was not pretty enough, was too young, was not old enough and was not smart enough to get a promotion. Guess what, she got the promotion. This was because she completely removed her self-limiting beliefs. She completely replaced those limiting beliefs with this new belief: I am pretty, I am healthy, I am intelligent and I am capable of achieving great things if I put my mind to it.

For example, she replaced her negative self-limiting beliefs with this new belief: I am a confident person who has the ability to overcome an overwhelming emotion or situation. She became a bigger, better, faster and stronger person because she was not afraid of any circumstance that she found herself in. She was not afraid to take chances and to try something new. She did not allow the overwhelming emotion or situation to stop her from being who she is.

Do you suffer from self limiting beliefs? Do you allow yourself to be limited in any way? You are not alone. If you believe you are someone who does not feel good about themselves, do some research and see how many people share the same beliefs as you. Most likely, you will feel like the only one who does not feel good about themselves!

Let me share with you another example of overcoming self-limiting beliefs. A few years ago, I was attending a party and noticed a girl sitting alone. She noticed all the good looking guys there and she started thinking about how she wanted to be one of those girls. She went through several unsuccessful attempts at trying to become a model or an actress. She finally decided to see a psychologist and get some help for her self-limiting beliefs.

As you can see, overcoming self-limiting beliefs is not as hard as it seems. All it takes is a willingness to try something new, and believe that a change can make you a better person. After that first step, you must be willing to change your subconscious mind to believe that you CAN become anything that you want. It may be very challenging, but believe me, it will be worth it.
