Limiting beliefs are false beliefs, ideas or opinions that one feels to be the truth. They often have a strong negative effect on one’s personal and professional life preventing them from progressing and growing as a person. A person with one of these limiting beliefs will often not be aware that they are doing it and may not even realize that what they are doing is preventing themselves from reaching their full potential. This is why it is so important to learn how to break these negative beliefs out of your mind and replace them with new beliefs.
The most common limiting beliefs include such things as “I can’t do that”, “I won’t succeed”, “I won’t be successful”, “I can’t do that type of work” and many others. These limiting beliefs are holding you back and preventing you from doing the things that you really want to do in life. Each time you feel a limiting belief interfering with your life, you should ask yourself if it is really true and if so, just how true it is. I know that this may sound silly, but I am sure that you can start to see some of the ridiculous results of limiting beliefs.

So here’s what you need to do. First you need to get rid of all of the limiting beliefs that are keeping you from reaching your goals. Second you need to replace these beliefs with empowering beliefs such as: I can do anything, anyone can become a millionaire, I can have any job, I am beautiful, I am lovable, I have plenty of friends, I am smart, I am healthy, I can have a great marriage, etc. The list could go on.
You need to take the first step to changing your limiting beliefs. Once you start repeating this statement to yourself over again, you will find that you have taken a giant step toward changing your life. If you want to eliminate your negative self-limiting beliefs then the second step in this article is what you need to do. This will help you eliminate your overwhelming emotion that is stopping you from reaching your goals and will help you become successful.
Now you are probably wondering how does having this overwhelming emotion affect you? Well the truth is that when you feel like you can’t accomplish something you will sabotage your own success.
