Self Limiting Beliefs – How to Reclaim Your Power

The Self-limiting beliefs are the core of any personality. If you do not believe that you can achieve certain things in life, then it is very unlikely that you will. Similarly, if you do not believe that you are good enough for anything, then you will not get the success that you desire. Limiting beliefs are the very core of your personality and it can be very difficult to get rid of them. However, if you want to set yourself free from these self-limiting beliefs, you need to understand them and how they effect your life.

You have many self limiting beliefs that you need to break out of. The first one that you need to overcome is the belief that you are helpless. When you say that you are helpless, this means that you will never achieve your goals. Your mind believes that it is impossible for you to succeed and so you begin to procrastinate. By saying that you are powerless, you are actually deterring yourself from getting the success that you desire.

When you say that you are powerless, you are sending a very negative self talk to yourself. You are telling yourself that you are unable to control your own mind, so you must depend on others to do things for you. When you say that you are unable to control your mind, you are limiting yourself from doing anything. You must get out of this mindset and replace it with one that is positive. If you want to eliminate self-limiting beliefs, you have to make sure that you change your self-talk.

To start, you should ask yourself one simple question – Am I the master of my own mind? If you answer yes, then change your self-talk to something like “I am the best person in the world and I am capable of doing whatever I put my mind to.” This belief is going to be enough to get rid of all the negative self talk that is harming your success. It will also encourage you to do more in order to reach your goals.

Another thing that you can do is to write out a list of all of the negative things that you say to yourself. Make sure that you write them over again as you think about them. Then, put one of your self-talk negatives on each list. For example, if you often tell yourself that you are not good enough, you should write that down and include the next part of your self-talk: “I am a great person!” The more that you repeat these statements to yourself, the closer that you will get to eliminate your self-limiting beliefs.

Finally, when you are talking to yourself in the mirror, talk to yourself like you would to a child or friend. Remind yourself that you are not perfect, but that you are a good person who does everything the right way. These are just a few self talk affirmations that can help you get rid of all the self-limiting beliefs that you have in your subconscious mind.
