Limiting Beliefs Can Leave You Confused and Frustrated

Many of us hold limiting beliefs from childhood. These may be what we think of as “bad” or “wrong” ideas. I say this, because the vast majority of us were taught some form of these beliefs. It is our personal choice, however, whether we let them keep control over our lives or work to eliminate them. If we want to truly improve ourselves and achieve success in life, then these beliefs must be eliminated.

Limiting beliefs can make us feel insecure and incompetent. They’ll hinder our success and make it more difficult for us to achieve the things we really want out of life. Take a moment to consider some of the following statements:

You are not worthy. You are weak, ineffective and not a good leader. I’ll try. You won’t succeed. This is a lie and you are the exception to the rule.

These statements work to prevent us from taking action. By creating these circumstances and thinking them to be true, they convince us that we’re not good enough, capable or smart enough to tackle the issues head on. You must believe and refuse to believe these limiting beliefs. It takes a conscious effort to do this, but if you truly want better results, then it will become easier.

You are the cause of whatever happens. Whatever you think, your reality is. So if you believe you are the cause, you’ll remain stuck in your beliefs. The best thing you can do is focus on changing your beliefs about yourself and others. This will allow you to see your situation objectively and take an honest look at your own performance.

You are a lousy leader. You are not good enough. You must believe you are. You can’t lead until you believe you can. Once you get a little experience with this, it will become natural to lead from your core beliefs and you’ll find it’s much easier to be successful.

You have no control over anything. Limiting beliefs are just that – limiting beliefs. You believe that you have no power over anything, and you have absolutely none! But your thoughts feed into your reality. If you believe that you have absolutely no control over anything, how can you possibly know what you can or cannot control?

You have nothing to lose except everything to gain. If you’re living from your limiting beliefs right now, there’s nothing you can do about it. You’re just going to keep feeling the stress, anxiety and disappointment that come with it. But by choosing to let go of those limiting beliefs and replace them with empowering beliefs, you can live a life free of those emotions. And when you change your beliefs, you change your life.

You have to let go of fear. When you’re living from your limiting beliefs, you’re living in fear. You may not realize it, but you’re afraid of success, of losing something, of being rejected, of not having enough… The list goes on.

By changing and replacing your limiting beliefs with empowering beliefs, you’ll empower yourself. Because when you start trusting and believing that you have total control over everything, including yourself, you’ll be able to create whatever you want. When you change and replace those limiting beliefs with empowering beliefs, you change your limiting beliefs and open yourself up to new possibilities. And you don’t just open yourself up – you open yourself up to new possibilities that embrace who you are as an individual.

You have to believe in yourself. You have to believe in yourself by reclaiming and replacing your negative limiting beliefs with empowering beliefs. Once you do this, you’ll be surprised at how quickly your life changes. In fact, within a few short weeks, you’ll notice that you’re experiencing less pain, more happiness, and more success than ever before.

Are you ready to begin to change your limiting beliefs today? When you begin with this process, it’ll feel like it’s been a lifetime. But it doesn’t have to be. It’s easier than you think. You just have to begin and follow through.
